Robin Burns III Obituary

Richmond, Maine- Robin O’Lynn Burns III, “Bindlelynn,” 56, passed away unexpectedly at Maine Medical Center on March 28, 2024.

Robin was born on August 7, 1967, daughter and second child of Robert and Maureen (Briggs) Wilson. She attended Chelsea School then spent several years attending schools in Hartford, CT. She graduated from Cony High School in 1995 and later went on to study Criminal Justice at the University of Maine at Augusta.

She spent her working years in data entry, where she excelled so much and took great pride in her abilities. She then went on to spend 17 years with the Maine State Retirement System. She enjoyed her work and thought of her coworkers as family. She ended her days of work as a direct support professional. She found it rather fulfilling and enjoyed her time doing so.

Robin is survived by her six children, that she was so proud of, Dale Sukeforth Jr, Lihanna Lush, Kari Sukeforth, Ross Sukeforth Sr., Braedin Swift and London Burns. Her “Dad” and mother, John and Maureen Taylor, brothers Robert Wilson, Michael Taylor, who she thought the world of, and step-brother Waymon Smith. Twelve grandchildren she loved so much, Gage, Rylan, EllaRose, Ava, Chandler, Arihanna, Ashton , Karlihanna, Ross Jr., Remington, Charlotte and Roman. Her very special maternal grandmother, Gladys Briggs as well as countless friends, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father Robert Wilson, brother Wyatt Wilson, beloved cousin Jessica Briggs, a very special friend Ruthann Moyer of Ireland and her “Renegade,” her person and greatest love Olon “Chip” Burns III.

Anyone who knew Robin knew she had a great love for all things reality tv and daytime soaps. If you didn’t she would have surely let you know. She never missed a detail and was always eager to share all she could with anyone who would have a listen. By the end of it you’d know just as much as she did. Her other lifelong love was the one and only Rex Smith. Ever since she was a little girl she was crazy about him. He had signed her hand at the mall when she just 12 and it was always something she’d get all giddy about. Just a few years ago her and a few friends once again attended a Rex show where she once again had him sign her hand and she was able to relive that day when she was just a girl. Even as grown up she wouldn’t wash her hand off for several days just like all those years ago.

Robin loved doing many things but at the top of her list was Rollerskating, and she could skate like the wind. You could often find her many a night at the rink putting the miles on. She was always know for her perfectly picked and poofed aqua-netted hair. She brought it with her from the 80’s and never strayed away from it. She enjoyed nights out dancing with her friends, AOL parties and would go and visit friends as often as she could. There was a time when she could throw horseshoes with the very best of them and a little known dream she’d always had was that she wanted to be a pilot.

She will be missed by so many as her footprint in this world knew no bounds. It would sadden her to know anyone was sad on her account. She’d simply respond with “it’s okay, I really am okay.”

A funeral is scheduled to take place on Friday, April, 12 2024 at 12 noon. It will be held at Giberson Funeral Home at 40 Maple Street Madison Maine.
